Over 6,000 2017 High School Seniors Played It Safe In Ocean City Celebrating At Our FUN,FREE EVENTS for Our 28th Year.
Ocean City, Md.- Th Play It Safe Project just ended it’s 28th year with 6,198 2017 High School Grads participating in the Fun, Free, Events provided. Down from the over 7,000 the previous year but officials blame the weather for cancelling several event. The Play It Safe Project provides these events for graduating High School Seniors each year in the hopes of preventing, educating, the danges of alcohol, and drug abuse. The Ocean City Drug Alcohol Abuse Prevention Committee is made up of both Government, Civic, and community volunteers who work year round raising the necessary funds to fund this valuable project each year. While the Town Of Ocean CIty, and Worcester County Health Department dedicate resources to help the project, volunteers must raise donations from the community and past participants to help offset these cost.
